Hi, Aspen the artist here! I’ve wanted to be an artist since I was a little girl. I’ve always loved making. After moving out into the world, I started to learn how my actions affect the earth that I love. I started trying to be a little more conscious of my consumption…and my waste.

For a couple years, that meant I didn’t make much art for anyone other than myself. I didn’t want to create unnecessary waste. I didn’t want my art to be a part of the problem, but that didn’t sit right with me.

I feel that art can be powerful and is necessary. So with my art, I aim to depict the beautiful earth we are blessed to live in and hopefully keep. I use materials in my art that would otherwise be trash, so instead of adding to the problem, my art is helping just a little bit. Maybe it can remind you to help a little bit, too.
