Description

My husband’s favorite insects are ants. He has a passion for them, and I am lucky enough to get to tag along on some of his ant hunting adventures. This is a leafcutter ant. A couple years ago, we were in Mexico. One night as we were heading back to our room, we saw SO many of these little ladies in the bush right in front of the building. It was dark, so we pulled out our flashlights and ended up watching them harvest little leaf bits for the better part of an hour. These ant are super fascinating. They don’t eat the leaves, instead, they use them to farm fungus.

On the back you will find the artist stamp, title, date, and edition number. Because of the nature of printing these by hand, there may be some slight variations.
